Located
in the village of
Ardfern, 25 miles south of Oban in
mid Argyll, these beautifully appointed
cottages (sleeping 2 - 8 people) are not only in the heart of some
of the most stunning scenery in Scotland, but also in the centre of the
cradle of Scottish Christianity, culminating in the historic abbey on
Iona.
The 8
cottages are situated beside the sea within the village, making them an
ideal starting point for a truly memorable holiday. Explore castles, jails
(Inveraray), gardens or go to wild life and sea life centres. Take a
steam train on the West Highland line. Perhaps you might like to take a
boat trip and see the seals on the islands or visit the famous Gulf of
Corryvreckan. The possibilities for things to do
are extensive; walking, cycling, fishing, water sports, golf etc.
Within the village of
Ardfern
there is a general store & Post Office, the
Galley of Lorn restaurant/pub,
The Crafty Kitchen (Crafts & food), an
excellent marina and
horse riding
nearby.
